ANIMALS (Part One): The fifth show in the series hosted by Brian Simmons features an “animal theme” and takes flight with studio guests from Raptor Rehabilitation in Louisville, KY and Woodford Humane Society in Versailles, KY where we’ll discover how some very unique animals are rescued and rehabilitated. On-Location stories include a very special behind the scenes look at Kentucky’s only Primate Rescue Center in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

ANIMALS (Part Two): Part Two of our Kentucky Animals Special, the sixth show hosted by Brian Simmons, features segments on Riding for Hope where horses are helping humans and the Kentucky Equine Humane Center in Jessamine County where humans are helping horses. Other features include GoodGiving.net community profiles on the Paris Animal Welfare Society, Winchester’s A Time to Live; & Making a Difference Now in Lexington.

SCIENCE & COMMUNITY: The third show in the series hosted by Brian Simmons features studio guests Lyle Hanna of Hanna Resource Group who will speak about the Bluegrass Community Connector Project, which will identify 100 key individuals in Central Kentucky, who naturally increase communication and cooperation across city limits and county lines. Kris Kimel with Kentucky Space will discuss this educational nonprofit enterprise that actually designs and launches satellites into space from Kentucky! On-Location stories include the Mountain Association for Community Economic Development’s (MACED) project to combat predatory lending in Berea and Eastern Kentucky.

KIDS & EDUCATION: The fourth show in the series hosted by Brian Simmons features studio guests Mary Molsky of Beaumont Middle School who will speak about the Gummy Bears Club, promoting random acts of kindness throughout our state’s schools and how this is helping students with special needs better understand appropriate social skills. Karen Napier with Metro United Way will discuss the high school drop out rate and nonprofits working to educate our children. On-Location stories include Kentucky’s children’s museum, the Explorium of Lexington and Kentucky Child Now’s statewide Great Kids Summit initiative.
